About Yoga with Martina
Yoga with Martina came to life in 2003 with the goal to inspire others to take part in their own physical, emotional & spiritual well-being. I believe that starting to feel better is possible for each person. I also believe that each person can take an active role in their means to improved well-being.
There are many ways to better your well-being. Yoga and meditation are the tools I have to offer. They have improved my physical and emotional health as well as many others locally and around the world. It is the knowledge and this experience in yoga and meditation that I share.
The yoga studio is one aspect of Yoga with Martina. It is tucked away on the lower level of the Farm Bureau Building in Morrison, IL. Here you can experience guided yoga and meditation classes and private instructions. It is a place to stretch your body, relax your mind, and lift your spirit.
The other aspect of Yoga with Martina is my sharing of the yoga and meditation expertise at other locations. In the past there have been presentations at local organizations, health fairs and short programs at schools. I am open to hold classes in different settings.
There is no need to be fit or flexible to start yoga or meditation! Careful, step-by-step guidance lets you connect to your body, your breath, your mind.
For the more practiced students I offer explorations that build on the foundation of the beginning classes. This allows for a deeper expression of the poses and a more subtle yoga experience.The gentle dynamic of yoga postures are beneficial as standalone form of integral exercise.
If you have an existing workout or find yourself to be an athlete, the yoga classes can serve as supplement.
It is my goal to offer yoga and meditation teachings in which each participant is able to have an enriching, lasting experience. All classes are geared toward your comfort. It is very important to me that the yoga and meditation meet your level of ability.
